About the Show
I am a Tico from Limon and still have some beautiful memories of my life in Costa Rica before moving as a child to the United States, where I grew up in New York & New Jersey, went to college, served in the military, and now recently retired from the federal government.
I am married with two adult sons and looking forward to the day we can travel more often throughout Central/South America, The Caribbean, and ultimately—Africa!
My house mixes are a musical journey, imagining that we are all onboard a ship full of Olmecs, leaving the African shores for parts unknown around the world. Some of the drum beats we hear in these mixes were also played by drummers aboard those ocean voyages well over 3,000 years ago. Expect to hear some deep and soulful R&B Classics, along with some Afro, Latin, Brazilian, & Gospel House Music tracks all mixed in. Occasionally, we include some spoken words & poetry within the mix. Enjoy🌵
