At an early age, Guillermo Diaz knew precisely what he wanted to do. To be heard! What he could not predict at that time in his native Honduras was that his dream would come true quite a few years later, far from home. When CBS considered that the time was right to bring The Bold and the Beautiful to Hispanic homes dubbed into Spanish, Diaz had all the attributes to lend his voice to the principal and conflictive character, Clark Garrison, interpreted by the actor Daniel MacVickard. The Bold and the Beautiful is available in over 130 countries. In Hispanic homes, they turn on their favorite drama, Belleza y Poder, daily and hear Guillermo A. Diaz’s voice. From Los Angeles to the world.

“The Voice of America,” as he has been called, started recording commercials when he was 15. When he came to the United States in the 80s, he brought all the professional experience he acquired in Tegucigalpa while working at Honduras Television Company Channel 5. His professional life in New York City and Los Angeles has been quite active as a promo announcer for Movie Trailers, a Spanish dubbing actor at 360 – Spanish Production Group and VDL-All Post Magnum Video, a DJ on-air personality and newscaster at KSKQ and FM98 Spanish Broadcasting Systems.

Guillermo A. Diaz’s voice is heard, and he is pleased when people from Honduras call him to say, “We hear your voice every day!” on Fox Sports.

Now you will hear Guillermo Diaz on weekdays on Blaxit Radio with his new show, Guillermo Diaz in the Morning.

I am a Tico from Limon and still have some beautiful memories of my life in Costa Rica before moving as a child to the United States, where I grew up in New York & New Jersey, went to college, served in the military, and now recently retired from the federal government.

I am married with two adult sons and looking forward to the day we can travel more often throughout Central/South America, The Caribbean, and ultimately—Africa!

My house mixes are a musical journey, imagining that we are all onboard a ship full of Olmecs, leaving the African shores for parts unknown around the world. Some of the drum beats we hear in these mixes were also played by drummers aboard those ocean voyages well over 3,000 years ago. Expect to hear some deep and soulful R&B Classics, along with some Afro, Latin, Brazilian, & Gospel House Music tracks all mixed in. Occasionally, we include some spoken words & poetry within the mix. Enjoy🌵

In 1993 he embarked on a quest to work with artists/entertainers by creating a radio series “Europes Jazz Profiles” aka “EJP”🎼🌴

The concept came from traveling to European festivals seeing how the audiences were amped up about the performers. So he wanted to report from that perspective.

After meeting Keyboard artist/Music Director Bill Jolley, his first artist was Grover Washington,Jr. in June 1993.

Before the show at St. Louis’s Ambassador Theatre, Grover enthusiastically entertained Reed and fellow DJ Sheila Reed on his career. Later came Reed’s first “legendary architect” NEA Jazz Master Drummer Chico Hamilton during 1995 in London. After one of his shows at the Jazz Cafe’ in Leister Square; Chico invited him back to the hotel for an in-depth interview. Then later invited him to complete it at his NY Manhattan penthouse. From there the other legends began to fall into place working with Joe Williams, Nancy Wilson Nat Adderly and more. The series aired in the 90’s in London and St. Louis for a number years on KSLH 91.5 FM

¡Hola errbody! My name is Jessie Feliz. I am a Spanish Language Educator, Edutainer and Bilingual Activist for the Black American Community.
My purpose is to address the inequities that are interwoven within the status quo of second language instruction and the expectations for second language learners in general, specifically in Spanish language programs that serve Black American Communities.

With more than thirteen years of professional teaching both in the U.S and in Costa Rica, I love coaching and encouraging others in their second language acquisition. I use music (primarily hip hop) to teach and reinforce vocabulary and grammar. I promote speaking with Spanish S.W.A.G. so that learners can develop near-native fluency and practice #woke bilingualism as a tool for unlocking opportunities, otherwise unknown.
From teaching six years in Baltimore, to living three years abroad in Costa Rica, to serving as an instructional coach in Houston, to then coming back to establish my base in my hometown Detroit, Michigan, and now teaching and reaching the culture remotely, I am thankful for the diverse teaching and learning experiences I’ve had since first studying abroad in Costa Rica in 2005. ¡Dios es fiel! God is good! I am excited, thankful and muy feliz to continue growing along the journey! Life is a marathon, so why not put it to a beat!

Charlotte Van Horn’s broadcast first aired on November 7, 2021 at 2 PM (Costa Rica Time). Travel along with Charlotte on her Blaxit Journey all the way from the small town of Glassboro, New Jersey to the AMAZING Panama City, Panama.

She will share everything from childhood experiences, the special music that she plays on Sunday to honor her Mother’s (Charlotte Evelyn Bailey Higginbotham) memory, and much more! Of course, she will make you laugh! As some folks know, she is also a professional comedian known as “CHARLOTTE VAN HORN ~ COMEDIAN EXTRAORDINAIRE.” She doesn’t get to do gigs anymore, but she’s naturally funny and entertaining! However, as she’s known to say, “don’t let the smooth taste fool you,” she is NO joke. When she gets SERIOUS, it is NO laughing matter! She delves into real issues, such as Blaxit, Black Culture, living in Panama and in the United States, and just why it is important for Black people (and ALL their children) to have Passports so they have international options as far as residency. It’s never a dull moment with her! You never know exactly what you’re going to get! What you do know, is what you get is authentic and transparent. She may share things that shake you up a little! Her mission is to speak truth and encourage others to step outside of their comfort zones to do great things and experience the WORLD for themselves!

People that follow her on Black Expats in Panama platforms, know she has a love for Al Green and what she calls “grown & sexy” music! When she flies to and from the United States and Panama, “I’m so Tired of Being Alone” by Al Green is the first song she hears as the wheels of the plane leave the ground and head for the heavens.

During her professional life, she has been called Legal Secretary, Sisterlocks®️ Consultant (Brand Ambassador), Podcast Host, Salon Owner, Comedian, CEO (multiple times over), Mentor/Coach, Influencer and Public Speaker (to name a few). Charlotte just added DJ to the list! Tune in, cheer her on and keep her in prayer as she casts her fears aside and travels the road that God has laid out before her!!

Sha’Nurai (Devon Austin), “The DeVine Miss

D,” is a steady voice and a vibrant part of the Blaxit Radio Family. A traveler of both worlds and frequencies, she carries the rhythm of Detroit Motown in her bones and the pulse of global soundscapes in her spirit. With over 30 countries stamped on her passport and countless cultures woven into her field, she knows music as more than entertainment — it is medicine, memory, and bridge.

Her shows reflect this truth:

Jazz & Java flows smooth, soulful, and timeless, grounding listeners in the elegance of sound.

This Is It! speaks to the realities of the Black Expat journey, offering wisdom and lived experience for those seeking sovereignty abroad.

Let There Be Sound opens the portal wider,

exploring vibration, healing, and the remembrance that music is a tool of liberation.

As General Manager, DJ, and Host, Sha’Nurai embodies the mission of Blaxit Radio itself:

to create a space where Black voices, stories, and frequencies are amplified and honored, where travel becomes transformation, and where the Black Experience resounds — in sound.
