Devon Austin, or The DeVine Miss D, is your musical host for “Jazz &  Java”. She hails from The Motor City, where Motown played a pivotal role in her musical development. She attended the University of Northern Colorado and later moved to San Francisco where her passion and enthusiasm for music & travel flourished. She has journeyed extensively to 32 countries across the globe, absorbing new cultures and sounds along the way, but Smooth Jazz will always be her first love!

Miss D excels in the areas of sales/marketing/finance – spending time as a Telecommunications Manager, Stockbroker and Relationship Manager.

She is a Travel & Lifestyle Blogger making her Blaxit in 2016 to Costa Rica, where she resides today.  Tune in to her Talk Show “This is It!” where the challenges of leaving the US will be discussed in detail from a place of understanding and experience. Her goal – to  assist Black people making the transition from the US, and to help them one day see America as Baldwin did: “better from a distance … from another place, from another country.”
